Wa Self-Administered Division

Wa Self-Administered Division ((ビルマ語:ဝ ကိုယ်ပိုင်အုပ်ချုပ်ခွင့်ရ တိုင်း) (:wa̰ kòbàɪɴ ʔoʊʔtɕʰoʊʔ kʰwɪ̰ɴja̰ táɪɴ)) is a Self-Administered Division of Myanmar. Its official name was announced by decree on 20 August 2010.
The division is set to be self-administered by the Wa people, but currently, the Wa State, subsumed under the official ''Wa Special Region 2 of Shan State'' administrates the region.
==Administrative divisions==
As stipulated by the 2008 Constitution it consists of Hopang, Mongmao, Pangwaun (Panwai), Namphan (Nahpan), Matman (Metman) and Pangsang (Pangkham) townships in Shan State.〔 (in Burmese) [http://www.irrawaddy.org/election/component/filecabinet/?task=download&cid[0]=1|2008 Constitution PDF]〕 The division also includes Namtit Subtownship and Panlong Subtownship.
